Counting views without tracking cookies
The standard tracker is designed for aggregate page views, for example by day, month and verified website. These numbers do not establish unique people. It uses no tracking cookies or persistent visitor storage for this purpose. Public account, website and page identifiers provide attribution; page identifiers must contain no personal content or secret tokens.
Cookieless does not mean free of personal data. HTTP requests technically deliver the IP address and browser headers to the receiving server. Web servers, upstream proxies, security features and their logs require separate review. Aggregate statistics do not establish what other data exists in that infrastructure.
Account, sign-in and communication
Account functions process sign-in and contact details, website details, password hashes, verification records and security evidence, among other data. Sign-in uses a session and may require a session cookie. This account function is separate from the cookieless tracker. Contact details supplied in enquiries are needed to handle them. Actual email delivery still needs separate setup and testing.
To be defined before operational approval
- Specific processing purposes, the appropriate legal basis for each, and where applicable the balanced legitimate interest or consent mechanism.
- Actual hosting, email and other providers, recipients, processing locations, and any third-country transfers and their conditions.
- Retention periods or clear deletion criteria for each data category, including server logs, security evidence, email jobs and backups.
- Required information, the consequences of not supplying it, and any automated decision-making procedures actually used, where applicable.
- Responsible contact channels for privacy requests and, if applicable, details of a data protection officer.
This template expressly does not assert a blanket legal basis, fixed deletion period or particular hosting location. Information obligations under Article 13 GDPR must be tailored to actual processing.
Rights of data subjects
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Consent can be withdrawn for the future. A complaint may also be lodged with a data protection supervisory authority. Access and deletion may require checking identity and the actual processing.
Integration on other websites
Website operators must assess their own integration, visitor information and legal basis. Whether and to what extent BlogTraffic acts as a processor depends on the actual assignment. The Draft data processing agreement is not open for acceptance. Neither this template nor a successfully loaded tracking pixel replaces this assessment.
